Westminster Abbey Evensong

I invited the students to join me at the Westminster Abbey Evensong service. This was not a required class excursion. It is optional activity because Evensong is a religious service and I did not want anyone to feel uncomfortable or pressured to attend a church if uniterested.

Although Westminster Abbey is a tourist destination, it is still very much a working church and they have regular services throughout the week. Evensong service is sung by the Westminster Choir. The organist and the choir can fill that huge building with beautiful music.

We arrived early enough in the line to get front row seats. It was a very enjoyable experience to listen to the choir and take in all the sights of Westminster Abbey.
